Michelle Kush is a 30 year old former substitute teacher from Boone County, Kentucky. She pleaded guilty yesterday to two counts of statutory rape, a count of statutory sodomy, and four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor:

A former substitute teacher in Boone County may avoid prison for having sex with one of her teenage students, but the legal impact of the felony sex convictions will follow her as long as she lives.

In return, prosecutors are recommending that she serve 60 days in jail and another six days under home incarceration.

The remainder of her five-year sentence will be probated, according to the recommendation.

However, she must undergo a sexual-offender evaluation, and she will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life. The conviction also will prohibit her from teaching again.

Does it matter what she wore to court? To the Cincinnati Post it apparently does:

During her court appearance, Kush – dressed in black pants and a black sweater – admitted that she had sex with a 15-year-old boy on at least three occasions, and bought alcohol for him and his friends. The divorced mother of two spoke so softly that her voice could barely be heard, even in the quiet courtroom.
