This one’s kind of a blast from the past. Shelly Acor is a teacher at Northwest Middle School in Utah, and she’s recently turned herself in for sexually abusing a girl … 12 years ago:

A Salt Lake Middle school teacher turned herself in on Friday for sexually abusing a 7th grade female student 12 years ago.

Northwest Middle School teacher Shelly Acor had her initial court appearance Friday morning where the judge denied bail. Acor is charged with three counts of second degree felony sexual abuse for improperly touching a female student during a time period extending from August 1994 through May 1995.

Oh dear God, this is priceless:

ABC 4 contacted a former student that attended Northwest Middle School who told us Acor suddenly left without warning in the middle of last year. Her old teacher’s actions have left her dumfounded.

Even though she never had any inappropriate contact with Acor, Jessica Christensen said, “I’m having second thoughts like…was it really good that she was my teacher?”

Hahahahahahahahahahahah. *wipes away tear* That’s good stuff right there.

No word on when Acor will be arraigned, but I’m guessing she’s in bad shape, it being Utah and all.
