SIOUX RAPIDS, Iowa (KTIV) — A Sioux Central High School teacher is stepping down after allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student last month. 24-year-old Steven Lindseth resigned on March 12th. He now faces two counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee.

Twenty-four-year-old Steven Lindseth of Sioux Rapids, Iowa allegedly had inappropriate contact with a female student at his home.

Two separate incidents of physical contact happened between Lindseth and a young girl at his Sioux Rapids residence in Buena Vista county. He taught history, government and geography and coached football, basketball and golf. He’s also charged with a felony for carrying a gun on school property.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff’s Office says charges were filed by a school employee.

A further investigation from the Buena Vista County Sheriff’s office showed Lindseth had a loaded handgun and was also charged with carrying a weapon on school property and carrying a concealed weapon.
