Sandra Louise Bull is a 45 year old former Easton High School (VA) teacher. She’s been charged with second-degree sex offense, second-degree assault, perverted practice and child abuse:

A former high school teacher in Easton who now works with special education students in Virginia was charged Tuesday with several sex offenses in connection with a relationship she allegedly had with a student, police said.

Bull is a resource teacher working with special education students at Garrisonville Elementary School in Stafford County, Va., where she has worked since 1999. She worked as a resource teacher from August 1983 to June 1990 at Easton High School, according to John Masone, assistant superintendent for Talbot County Public Schools.

The Talbot County Department of Social Services notified Easton police in June that they had received information that Bull had had a sexual relationship with one of her resource students while she taught at the high school, police said. A detective and a social worker met with the now 39-year-old man, who was diagnosed as mentally challenged and was a resource student at Easton High from 1983 to 1987.

The man said he had a sexual relationship with Bull which began while he was in 12th grade and continued until six months after he graduated.

Bonnie Sue Davis is the teacher accused of being in an inappropriate situation with two male students. A judge has ruled that the case will be going to a grand jury:

The case of a Spotsylvania County high school teacher accused of having sex with teenage students will go to a grand jury.

A circuit court grand jury is scheduled to hear the charges next month. Davis is currently out on bond.

This is such a weird story:

9News has learned Bonnie Sue Davis was caught inside the home of one of the boys involved in the allegations. They were discovered by the mother of the other teenager. We want to make very clear, no sexual activity was witnessed. There was no drinking nor drugs. Everyone was fully clothed.

Nevertheless, 35-year-old Bonnie Davis was in a darkened bedroom with two of her male students, ages 14 and 15, on a Friday night in February. The mother of the 14-year-old, looking for her son, found him at the 15-year-old’s home with their teacher.

Okay, yeah that’s bad, but how do you go from that to this:

But Davis now faces far more serious allegations: six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor; two counts of sodomy and one charge of having sex with a 14-year-old.

Sodomy? The hell? Sometimes I get the feeling that police and prosecutors just make shit up for fun. For instance, why 2 counts of sodomy but only 1 charge of having sex with a minor? Maybe there’s some fine legal point I’m missing, but if there’s two counts of sodomy then it seems to me like there oughta be two counts of having sex with a minor. But I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy.
