There are new developments in the Susan Clickner case, with some interesting legal maneuvering by the prosecutor. Clickner is being forced to produce a DNA sample to see if it matches the DNA found on a condom which was in her car:

Former Westford teacher Susan Clickner must provide some of her DNA to determine if it matches elements on a condom wrapper found in the Groton woman’s car, where she allegedly had sex with one of her 14-year-old students.

In a ruling issued yesterday, Lowell Superior Court Judge Jane Haggerty allowed prosecutor Kevin Ryle’s request for Clickner’s DNA despite the defense attorney’s objections.

Ryle said a DNA sample from the boy, which has been provided, and Clickner were needed for comparison in testing the wrapper.

Apparently the boy has been calling his former teacher:

In a hearing earlier this month, defense attorney Robert Casey Jr. argued that although prosecutors say the 14-year-old Westford boy was “traumatized” by the alleged sexual encounter last April, Clickner said she’s been receiving telephone calls from him.

Clickner, a former science teacher at Westford’s Blanchard Middle School, told her attorney that she’s been receiving telephone calls from the boy in which he tells her he lied to the police and would change his story for sex.

In a Sept. 18 call, Casey said Clickner recognized the boy’s voice and “heard him panting.”

Then in a Sept. 22 phone call, the boy allegedly told Clickner he lied to police and he would rectify the problem, but he wanted sex, Casey said.

Groton police installed a “trap” on Clickner’s phone to trace the calls. Ryle said a telephone call made on Sept. 26 was traced to a man who was at a local hotel with a prostitute.

Hahahahahahahahahahahah. Ha.
