People magazine is looking at Mary Kay Letourneau’s life one year after marrying Vili Fualaau, and there are quite a few interesting tidbits.
How the couple affords their lifestyle:
Letourneau, who lost her teaching license, and Fualaau, who hopes to become a tattoo artist (they rely on the substantial six-figure fee they received for the TV rights to their wedding), are focused on getting full custody of their daughters Audrey, 8, and Alexis, 7.
Fualaau on Mary Kay’s children from her previous marriage:
Still, the situation is complicated for Fualaau. “I feel like I don’t really have a place except that I’m their mother’s husband,” he says. His wife’s children “had a mom and dad and then I came into the picture and they think, ‘I hate that guy; if he hadn’t come along this would never have happened.’”
What they tell the kids:
On a trip to the supermarket, the girls start fighting, prompting Letourneau to pull Audrey aside. “I reminded her that she is older than her sister, and that seemed like a chance to bring up what happened to me and Vili,” says Letourneau. “I told her, ‘Mommy and Daddy fell in love, but the rules were that we needed to wait until Daddy was older.’ “
Kind of bizarre.

MARY SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH HER HUSBAND BECAUSE VILY IS REALLY UGLY. SHE MAY NOT BE EXACTLEY PRETTY BUT, SHE COULD DO BETTER THAN VILI.
MARY COULD BE FREE RIGHT NOW AND WITH HER HUSBAND AND KIDS BUT, SHE CHOOSE TO GO TO PRISON TO RAPE ON A CHILD.

Jealous, envious and above all curious. Do they realize that she didn’t want to marry just because she was pregnant? Her
prissy ultra religious mother wouldn’t have it any other way. Steve was young &
had not an inkling about birth control. I Know Mary loved her 1st 4 but maybe not so close together? She made the best of the situation for as long as she could. She didn’t rape, or even seduce Vili. She is not a cradle robber or sex offender except in the letter of the law
observers. To me it smacks of many sour grapes. She has paid the price, & made her choice, and now she reaps the rewards
for her pain & punishment, & loveless years w/her children’s father. She accepted the love & affection Vili offered. He is an extraordinarily hand-some young man, who has lived w/o a dad, for a number of yrs. His daughters w/Mary are two lovely girls they both can be proud of. Sure I can have sympathy for Steve, he was a victim of his own foolishness, marrying a girl he got pregnant, but who didn’t want to marry him. His move to Alaska was timely.
I understand that he has remarried. I hope he is happy. BRAVO Mary & Vili !
Vili isn’t exactly the GQ type, is he? And that’s just what the world needs … another tattoo artist. Hopefully Mary will be influential toward investing their six-figure nest egg and looking at the big picture and their children’s future. She may be 40 but she is still a goddess.
Mary should have spend more time behind bars,7 1/2 yrs was nothing. What she did was wrong, regardless how they felt for each other, he was still a child and she was the adult. Mary will always be know as the women who rape a child,even though it wasn’t force on the boy. How can this women live day by day knowing that she has destroyed so many lives. She doesnt care about her kids, if she did none of this would have happen and she would have work things out with her husband. Mary is a sick women, and I hope that this doesn’t happen to her kids.
i think that love is love n u cant help who u fall in love with yes i think they should have had permission from his mom, but she obivisly wasnt loved much by her 1st husband the way she should have been but now look i bet they r both very happy!!!
