This is really disturbing:
A former high school teacher accused of having sex with a student was severely beaten inside her home.
Thirty-year-old Melinda Lee Deluca told police she came home Friday afternoon and was alone when she was jumped from behind. Police said she was beaten so badly that she was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital from her home in South Jordan.
Deluca was recently accused of having sex with one of her students at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan. Police believe the assault could be related to the charges.
“It does appear that this is related to the incident in West Jordan with her teaching position at Copper Hills High School,” said Lt. Matt Evans with the South Jordan Police Department. “It doesn’t appear to be a random event.�?
We have courts to deal with people breaking the law. There’s no need for someone to take matters into their own hands, especially when it comes to violent actions. But hell, this was in Utah, so I’m not terribly surprised.

I’m betting she paid someone to whoop up on her…and to get some heat off her. It puts the DA in a bad position to prosecute her…when she is beat up.
I just gotta say that i had sexual relations with a teacher of mine when I was in high school I was 17 Then again i live in canada where you don’t have to be 19 to get laid legally. If I know anything it was all CONSENTUAL SEX. Lets be honest ladies and gentleman A 16 or 15 or 14 or whatever year old boy with hormones raging like white water rapids has a smoking hot (cause all these teachers were hot) hit on him and want sex. Cna you honestly say that it was HIS intention to rat her out…..NO F#@KEN way so therefor its consentual. Look at mary Kay Leterneau and Vili Falal They’re married with a child and they were a student teacher thing. Why is it so bad that a woman in her sexual peak wants a guy at his it isn’t kids aren’t dumb nowadays with the way the media has sold sex to kids through brittany and christina. Further more look at the designers of clothes too. You got thongs for 12 year olds and high cut shorts and revealing tops. The blame has been put in the wrong place folks. Kids know what they’re doing when they ingage in sex nd the ones that don’t before the age of 13 are living either under a rock or they’re still attached by the inbilical cord GET OVER IT PEOPLE times are changing kids are getting sexually active younger and they’re developing earlier thanks to hormones in foods and the media. So if anything the blame should be shared and also we shold be weighing out the facts before someone gets crucified.
Boy Guy…you couldn’t be more RIGHT ON!! My husband and I discuss subjects like this alllll the time. You included some of my favorite observations… things that the drones don’t seem to notice, are pushing and pulling them this way and that…and they just veg out. We have virtually sexualized the nation into the rauchiest, most disgusting cess pool of rot. Parents aren’t parenting–they’re too busy with their phone jibba jabba about nothing, and the next party or event to go to, or just acquiring anything and everything…and why…well “Why not” they’d say, because it’s there for the buying and having. Society is so lost I fear no return to any widespread sense of decency. Heck…it would seem that ‘common sense’ were some sort of anomoly, for it so rare occurs in society, that great thinkers and minds of our time and beyond, to ponder where it possibly came from. Oh yes…the future does not look bright. All one had to do is check out myspace to any degree…and there are porn people promoting themsleves with 10s of thousands of “friends”…yeah, your 13 year old daughter, and your 11 year old son. Who of course all put in they are 22 or 99 yrs old. Just you name it, and it’s on myspace. My very nephew had 3 things so totally pornographic and disgusting that I reported it He is 17, but his little sister is 13, and she of course is a “friend” . However I know from past experience I reported something and I got an email 4 months later that they had removed the inappropriate material. Ha ha! Yeah…so everyone’s seen it by then…fools. Sad!! It’s very sad. Yep…the country has lost its moral fiber and is breaking up. Drugs are prevalent from sea to shining sea…big city to the smallest of formerly wonderful Americana towns. Towns that were nice, and good people lived there and amde a nice life with hard work and love and Christian values. Of course…there was strife, and people who didn’t quite fit in to that. But you could gernerally count on someone’s common decency. Not Any More. Pity. Things will get a lot worse. Before…well…who knows. Before the end. (whatever that may mean to us) Sorry so long. As it turns out, police are now saying Deluca made up the story about being beat up — she did it to herself to try to gain sympathy. She’s probably gonna get charged for that too. Wack job! And what the hell is the comment about Utah??
