Micki Jo Taylor is a 32 substitute teacher at Hull-Daisetta High School (SE Texas). She stands accused of sexual contact with one of her students off of school property:
On April 12th, the superintendent said that he fired Taylor after he learned that she had been text messaging students with a cell phone during school hours.
“She accepted [the termination,]�? said Dozier, “she knew sending text messages was incorrect–not something we do.�?
Dozier explained that the next day, April 13th, a parent came in with her son to show the superintendent those text messages. Dozier described the messages as “inappropriate.�?
That parent then went to law enforcement authorities, and on Monday, four days after the parent-superintendent meeting, Taylor was behind bars. Bond was set at $25,000 by Justice of the Peace Bobby Rader. Taylor bonded out of jail late that night the police report.
The really tragic part of this?
Dozier said that Taylor has two of her own children in the Hull-Daisetta Independent School District.
You really have to feel for those kids.
