The Ohio Board of Education met this week to decide if Nicole Long, the Toledo teacher who pleaded guilty to sexual battery, should lose her license permanently:
The Ohio Board of Education today will consider permanently revoking the license of an English teacher at Ayersville High School found guilty of having sex with a 17-year-old male student in her Defiance home.

In exchange for Long’s guilty plea, Carson Slade, a county assistant prosecutor, recommended that she be jailed in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, Stryker, instead of being sent to prison.
Long also was to forfeit her teacher’s license, be placed on probation, and ordered to attend counseling.

Now that she’s not a teacher any more she can do all the 17 year olds she wants to!
Thats the curious thing about this deal…all of these women could have gone out with teenage guys…without the school job being in jeopardy. Just doesn’t add up…either these women are plain stupid or they really didn’t think they were getting into trouble.
the student did not lose his scholarships to play sports (football) because of this. He was in trouble way before all of this came out. This didn’t come out until January. Why doesn’t anyone realize he wasn’t allowed to play football in August? Maybe because he has a previous record? His life is not ruined because of this. How about hers?
Hey-she had her fun!
Yea she made a horrible mistake. But from what i hear she is unbelievably sorry for it. Lets not forget the fact that this guy was 17, about a month away from being 18. He knew right from wrong. He knew what he was doing as well as she did. He had no reguard for her or her family (neither one of them did in this instance). He isn’t at all innocent in this. They are BOTH to blame for extremely poor judgement. Don’t just blame one side. A 17 year old is more then capable of saying no. He didn’t say no and neither did she. As Diane said above, this guy had a record before any of this happened. He was in no way the innocent party. I’m not saying she is the victim ether. There is no question that they were BOTH wrong in doing this.
