Wytheville police searched a local middle school Tuesday morning as part of its on-going investigation into a teacher accused of having sex with one of her 13-year-old students.
Former 7th grade language arts teacher, Susan Patton, in only her second year at Scott Memorial Middle School, resigned two weeks ago before turning herself in to police on two felony warrants of having sex with a 13-year-old boy, and having oral sex with the boy.
She also charged with misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Court records show Patton’s husband used the couple’s Wythe County home as collateral to pay her $25,000 secured bond to get her out of jail last week.
True love is …. putting up your house so that you can pay your wife’s bond. After she cheated on you with a 13 year old.

She was actually the Teacher of the Year, and won an award in Carroll County, Va. 2 years earlier. How tragic is that?
