Sharon Linton Rutherford has charges dropped

May 13, 2006 · 4 comments

in Alabama, By State, Sharon Linton Rutherford

Rutherford isn’t through the woods yet however:

A rape charge against a Clarke County teacher has been dismissed, but she still faces a charge of solicitation of murder and two charges of enticing a child for immoral purposes.

Why the judge dropped the rape charge:

In the rape case, prosecutors argued that while the 19-year-old student had reached the age of consent, a mental disability made him unable to give proper consent. First-degree rape, however, does not include a provision to protect the mentally disabled, the judge noted.

I would be guessing that Sharon has bi-polar issues…to some small bit. Just based on the stories.

Even though Mrs. Rutherford was my english teacher and even tough she went with some of her students that don’t mean she is a bab person to be around because when she was here at CHS she was a good person to be around. To Rutherford kept your head no matter what you go trough you will make!

With all my love , Vinquesha Bell
